Modgy is excited to introduce our new line of stylish Silicone Trivets. Modgy Silicone Trivets are non-slip and look fabulous while protecting your table or counter top. The patent pending Grooved Bottom allows heat to escape rather than be absorbed directly into your counter or table top. Modgy trivets are made of 100% Food Grade Silicone and are heat resistant up to 450 degrees Fahrenheit. This Trivet/Hot-Pad also works great as a Spatula/Spoon Rest, Large Coaster for Cold Pitchers, etc.
We introduced them to the business community at the Las Vegas Market show earlier this month and they received a great reception. Check out the photos of our display:
And here are each of the individual patterns:
And our beautiful Modgy packaging that matches the rest of our product line:
Our new Modgy Silicon Trivets will be available for shipment this Fall. We can’t wait and hopefully you can’t either!
Modgy exhibited for the first time at the International Housewares Show in Chicago earlier this month. Shortly before the show we received a surprise e-mail from Pantone saying they had selected us to participate in their 2016 Color Watch Display at no cost to us if we were interested. We’ll duh, of course we were interested. It felt really good to have the leading purveyor of Color Style choose us for their display. It helped validate that we had made some really great color decisions. In addition to featuring three of our new frosted vases and one of our wine glass shades, they provided us with an attractive eye catching sign for our booth stating that “our product is featured in the Pantone Colorwatch display”.’ It was even more gratifying when buyers would stop by and tell us how great our product looked on the Pantone Display.
All in all we had a great first Housewares Show and great experience with Pantone. Thanks Pantone!
We've been learning as we go and slowly refining our brand. After lots of discussions with current customers, potential customers, focus groups and a team of International MBA students we have been working with, we decided to make a bold move and completely make over our packaging or our Modgy Gift and Home Products. The final result is in, and we couldn’t be happier with how things turned out. Our new toned down, turned up, Modern Edgy packaging is proving to be a hit with new and current customers alike. Check it out and let us know what you think!
As Valentine’s Day approaches, I’ve been excitedly awaiting the chance to turn down the lights, sprinkle the rose petals, and set that romantic mood at bath and bedside with VenusDeModgy Vase and Luminaries. I already have my order into Costco for two dozen roses, a case of Cabernet. What will your perfect Valentine’s Day consist of? Keep it clean we aren’t looking for the next chapter of 50 Shades of Grey.
The appearance of our products is something we take great care in. We believe our myvaz, LUMIZU and H2FidO products should reflect our customer's individual style and, when possible, add art to the space they occupy.
With this in mind we commissioned designs from four artists around the world for our myvaz vases. The collection is called the myvaz Artist Series and they're the ultimate vases for art enthusiasts.

So today is “Bring your Dog to Work Day” and I thought, what can I do to really embrace this glorious holiday? My answer came in the form of an e-mail my wife sent with a sweet face looking back at me. His name is Jax. A very cute and a great new companion to our boy Lucky. If we had gotten them at the same time we’d have to have named them Salt and Pepper. Jax is the salt one by the way:
Like Lucky, Jax is a rescue dog and also a poodle schnauzer mix. Including his foster home, we are the fourth home he’s had in his five year life so he’s very cautiously starting to adjust but we think he will fit in great to our family. With three kids, one dog already, a guinea pig, a fish and a frog, whats another dog?
One thing is for certain, Jax and Lucky will never be dehydrated or without Collapsible/Expandable Dog Bowls (H2FidO plug here) or attention.
I have warned my wife that we are not getting a new dog for every bring your dog to work day so don’t expect a similar post this time next year.
We certainly don’t think so!
We ARE a proud American company! So we asked ourselves, “What makes us a proud American company, and how can we express that to our American stores and customers?”
Although our actual products are made overseas, that is honestly such a small part of what our company does, and we work to support the American worker in everything else we do. Virtually every other aspect of our company is grounded in not only the US, but also in our local economy.
Here is a list of what we have sourced out to local companies:
As you can see, we work with several local businesses to help our local business and others to continue growing.
We also use a CEVEC, which is part of the Mayfield School system, to help us package our products. CEVEC provides vocational and work training to high school-aged students with disabilities from 16 districts in the eastern Cuyahoga County area. This is important to us because we want to help ensure that jobs will be available to individuals that, otherwise, could have a tough time finding employment.
In addition to the local companies and individuals that we support with our business, we also warehouse, ship and package product and handle all customer service right here in Cleveland, Ohio.
So, no… our products may not be made in the United States (YET), but if you ask us if we are a proud American company, we will tell you, “You can bet your red, white and blue blooded American ass we are!”
