I usually enjoy my flowers outdoors, where their life can be maximized by being rooted in the ground. However, I bought the Karnival vase and cut one iris this Spring, moving it into my living room. It looks lovely. The vase was easy to expand by filling it with water. It would be easy to mail to a friend, as it comes flat in the package, and it won't take much room to store after I remove the flower at the end of its life. Added bonus: it lets me enjoy having a cut flower in the house without decimating my flower garden, giving me the best of both worlds! I purchased mine from a museum gift shop, giving one to a neighbor (who loves it) and another to my daughter-in-law (who was at work and came home to find it on her table with a flower in it). I wish they'd had some of the other designs I see on the site. I will most likely purchase more.
